What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.
This week: COMPOSURE
The prompt word this week was chosen by Jo-Anne Teal of Going for Coffee. You’ll want to head over and check out her amazing talent! She has a firm hand on the pulse of life; the good and bad, the beautiful and gritty. Her writing is always full of heart and soul!!!
I look forward to reading everyone’s five sentences. Post your sentences on your blog, and link up your post below. If you don’t have a blog feel free to email me your sentences and I will post them here!!
Check out past Five Sentence Fiction posts here.

thank you for such lovely dear words, dear Lillie. I want your readers to know how much Five Sentence Fiction has improved my writing and given me an opportunity to learn and grown in the writing community. It is a wonderful thing you’ve done for us, Lillie. It means a lot to me to participate in your writing challenges. In case I haven’t told you today: You totally rock! Huge hugs and so much thanks I wouldn’t know where to begin.
Jo-Anne
Having you in my writing circle has made my own writing better! Thank you for always being there to encourage me
You are the best!!
Have been enjoying everyones writing but am having trouble with the disqus tool, not sure if comments are being received so,
To Angela – So much darkness lingering under the surface, beautiful.
To J D Wenzel – Great suspense, loved the line “…forest of dead trees staring at him with empty eyes, mouths frozen in silent screams.”
